One of Ukraine’s most prominent journalists, civic activists, and one of the “new generation” of MPs, Mustafa Nayyem is in London to support a GoGlobal project, talk about developments in Ukraine, and the decisive year ahead for the success of Ukraine’s reform agenda.

GoGlobal is an initiative that promotes foreign language learning in Ukraine. The project is now hoping to involve 100,000 children in school camps all over Ukraine. The organisers aspire to involve around 800 Ukrainian schools and attract 1000 international volunteers to Ukraine.

Ksana Nechyporenko, Director of GlobalOffice NGO, and Member of the Council of the Reanimation Package of Reforms will speak at the event. Marina Pesenti, Director, Ukrainian Institute London will moderate the talk.

Mustafa Masi Nayyem

Mustafa Masi Nayyem worked as a reporter for "Kommersant-Ukrainy" newspaper from 2005 to 2007 and then for Shuster LIVE from 2007 to 2011. Nayyem frequently contributes news and articles to Ukrayinska Pravda. From September 2011 to late April 2013, he worked for the Ukrainian television channel TVi. After resigning due to a conflict with the channel's new management, he started a web project together with colleagues who also left the channel. Their project was named Hromadske.TV. Nayyem was one of the first activists to urge Ukrainians to gather on Independence Square. He was included in the electoral list of Petro Poroshenko Bloc and elected to the Verkhovna Rada in the elections of October 2014. He is now a member of DemAlliance party and a member of the Committee of the Verkhovna Rada on issues of European integration.

Ksana Nechyporenko

Ksana Nechyporenko is the Director of GlobalOffice, and a member of the Council of the Reanimation Package of Reforms. She was involved in launching the activity of Edinburgh Business School Eastern Europe in Ukraine in 2009. She received a Master of Political Sciences from Kyiv National Taras Shevchenko University and is in the process of getting an MBA at Edinburgh Business School. GlobalOffice is a civic organisation that aims to promote the informational, political, economic, cultural, and social integration of Ukraine into the global context and further internal integration. Reanimation Package of Reforms is the biggest civic platform in Ukraine that unites 70 CSOs and think-tanks and promotes reforms in Ukraine through the change of law.
