Myroslava Gongadze
Myroslava Gongadze is the Service Chief of the Voice of America’s Ukrainian service. She is an award-winning journalist, a champion for democracy, and independent media. In addition to her work at the Voice of America, Gongadze often speaks at various fora discussing politics, democratisation, and media in Ukraine. She regularly contributes to NPR and has publications in the Wall Street Journal, Washington Post, NPR, and Journal of Democracy. She received the Reagan-Fascell Democracy Fellowship in 2001 and the George Washington University Petrac Foundation scholarship in 2003. In 2014, she moderated a series of parliamentary debates on Ukraine's state TV channel. In 2015, she was ranked at number 53 on Focus Magazine’s list of the 100 most influential women in Ukraine.
