Location:

The Garden Cinema

We are delighted to be partnering with The People's Film Club and Cambridge Ukrainian Studies to hold a fundraiser screening of OLGA at next Wednesday 8th of June.

OLGA, starring the talented Ukrainian athlete Anastasia Budiashkina, is set amid the 2014 Maidan Revolution - which saw Ukrainians take to the streets to drive out the authoritarian, Russia-backed president Yanukovych. In this fictional retelling, Olga is forced to weigh up her personal ambitions against her role in the future of her country.

The screening will be followed by a panel discussion with Yelyzaveta Taranukha (our Ukrainian teacher and coordinator of our English school for displaced Ukrainians), Daria Korsak (Ukrainian video editor who has recently arrived in London), and Andrii Smytsniuk (University of Cambridge).

All funds raised will support Кожен Може  - a local charity providing support on the ground in Ukraine.
