Fundraiser: An Exclusive Evening with Henry Marsh

Date and time:

Tuesday 22 November, 2022
18:30 - 20:15

Location:

Reform Club
104 Pall Mall
London
SW1Y 5EW

Join Henry Marsh, along with the evening's host, Caroline Ingram MBE (Every Child Matters) at a fundraiser at the Reform Club (the first Club in London to open its doors to women) to support the Ukrainian Institute London.

In October, Henry Marsh travelled to Ukraine, the country he considers his second home, to teach Ukrainian colleagues crash courses in trauma medicine and how to operate in a war zone. His affinity to Ukraine reflects his deep understanding of Ukrainian history and politics from not only his studies at Oxford in his youth, but from witnessing Ukraine's democratic evolution since he first started to visit the country in the early 1990s.

Henry Marsh's new book And Finally: Matters of Life and Death is a volume of memoirs candidly reflecting on his own mortality, the failings of neuroscience and the recollection of his deep friendship with an aspiring Ukrainian neurosurgeon.

Donate £30, £50 or £100 to join our event and support the work of the Ukrainian Institute London. All guests will also receive a glass of wine.
Henry Marsh's books will be available to purchase at the event and he has kindly donated a portion of the sale to the Ukrainian Institute London.
