Oleksandra Matviichuk is the head of the Center for Civil Liberties and coordinator of Euromaidan SOS. She has been at the forefront of documenting human rights violations and war crimes since the beginning of the Russian invasion of Ukraine in 2014. In 2016, Oleksandra Matviichuk received the Democracy Defender Award for "Exclusive Contribution to Promoting Democracy and Human Rights" from missions to the OSCE. She is the author of a number of alternative reports to various UN bodies, the Council of Europe, the European Union, the OSCE and the International Criminal Court.

Since Russia’s escalated attack against Ukraine in February 2022, Oleksandra Matviichuk and her colleagues have been continuing their rigorous work in documenting Russian war crimes and human rights violations and fighting for justice for Ukraine from the international courts.

This talk will be moderated by Olesya Khromeychuk, Director of the Ukrainian Institute London.
