Our Special Seasons of Events

In addition to our regular programme of events, the Ukrainian Institute London has launched two new seasons of events: The Many Faces of Ukraine and The Donbas Season.

The Many Faces of Ukraine Season

The Many Faces of Ukraine Ukraine season showcases the diverse heritage of Ukrainian culture. 
Through the lens of individuals such as Paul Celan, Debora Vogel, Aleksandra Ekster and Sholem Aleichem, as well as topics like Crimean Tatar cinema, this season will explore how different cultures have interacted in Ukraine historically and ask what space there is for this multicultural interaction today.

The Donbas Season

This season of events focuses on the Donbas: the part of Ukraine that has been engulfed by the war in recent years. As well as discussing the impact of the hostilities on the region and its population, this series of events will also explore the history, cultural heritage and unique identity of the Donbas.
