There are 8 places available for each online and in-person group course and places will be offered on a first-come, first-served basis. If the course is fully booked, we will add your details to a waiting list and notify you if places become available.
The course fees must be paid in full at the time of enrolment, before the course begins.
If a student informs the Ukrainian Institute London (learnukrainian@ukrainianinstitute.org.uk), in writing, that they wish to withdraw from the course a week or more before the start of the course, their course fees will be refunded, in accordance with our cancellation policy below.
If a student informs the Ukrainian Institute London, in writing, that they wish to withdraw from the course less than a week before the start of the course, their course fees will not be refunded.
No partial refund will be given for any classes not attended.
If a class is postponed for any reason (including but not limited to teacher illness, Bank Holidays, situation in Ukraine, transport issues), the teacher will consult with the students to reschedule the class for the time suitable for the majority of the students. No partial refund will be offered to a student unable to attend the rescheduled class.
The Ukrainian Institute London cannot accept responsibility for any unforeseen changes in a student’s circumstances that may prevent them from attending the course.
Since many of our teachers are based in Ukraine, facing the unpredictability of air raid alarms due to the ongoing war, classes might be cancelled at short notice. However, teachers will afterwards reschedule classes for the earliest convenient time.
The Ukrainian Institute London reserves the right to cancel a course if the number of enrolments fails to reach the minimum number required to run the course. In the event of course cancellation, all fees paid in advance will be refunded in full.
Students must be over 16 years of age.
The cost of textbooks is not included in the course fees. The students are not obliged to purchase the textbooks. Photocopies and scans of the learning materials will be provided to the students.
Lessons will be delivered online via Zoom, Microsoft Teams, and Whereby. UIL does not take responsibility for individual technical issues not related to UIL.
Online lessons might be recorded for learning purposes. Recordings will be available to the teacher and students enrolled on the course only.
Cancellations/refund policy
Cancellations for group courses before 13 January 2025 are eligible for a full refund.
From 13 January 2025 no refunds for group courses will be possible.
In the event that a course does not run then a full refund will be given.
If you need to make any changes to your schedule for one-to-one lessons or cancel a single one-to-one lesson, you need to give a teacher at least a 24-hour notice. Failing to do so may result in the lesson being charged.
